I seriously need more variety in my outfits. But because it’s the season of weddings and celebrations, here is yet again another traditional outfit. I’m actually not tired of them at all. It’s not everyday I can deck out and celebrate my beautiful culture, so I make the most out of these functions. And I always get comments from my non-desi friends like ‘wow you guys have such amazing clothes in your culture.’ And I always think ‘hell yeah we do.’
I’m low-key super happy to have been brought up in a culture with jaw-dropping cultural-ware. And the best part is, you can never have enough.
So yeah, black and red salwaar kameeze it is. The red scarf is transparent, so I wore a black scarf underneath it. I’m super careful about showing any part of my skin and take extra caution that the parts that need to be covered, are covered. And yes, I got a hijab under my hijab, and I’m not ashamed. It’s perfect for the fall when there’s a little chill in the air. And again, a black clutch can make any one of these outfits look super classy.
